Internal Alpha build of AIR scores 100/100 on ACID3 Tests
I have been playing with an internal build of AIR targeting a release later this year. The new release has some great features under the hood for HTML/JS developers. Given the Webkit browser engine was used in AIR, we are refreshing it in the next AIR release. The updated engine even in early internal alpha passed the ACID 3 HTML/CSS tests with a 100/100 score.
Would you like to be in the MAX Keynote? We are putting together a video project called "30onMAX" and we will be highlighting selected videos in the Adobe MAX keynote in North America, Europe, and Japan.
3. Tag it with "30onMAX"! (This is how we find it)
The 30onmax team will aggregate the videos for use in the MAX Keynotes and throughout the conferences. To assist us with "30onmax" we have recruited world famous director/actor Phillip Kerman to assist with the project.
Here is one of Phillip's earlier creations on Adobe MAX:
Now go grab your camera, costumes, and make a video on "Why MAX?"
At MAX 2008 we giving roadmap sessions for our key technology markets. These sessions are being given by the teams leading development in these markets and missing them would be a huge mistake. With Adobe Labs we began opening our roadmap and releasing software early to customers. At MAX we are going to talk openly about the next 5 years in each of these market segments and tell you where Adobe is headed. It will help your teams plan ahead and get in sync with our feature roadmaps and overall platform before it is delivered. It is our hope that these sessions will highlight the platform we are building and allow you to invest earlier along the way.
I would strongly encourage you to attend one of these roadmap sessions. You will see where Adobe is headed and what we are working on. Make sure to register early for these sessions they are sure to be packed at all MAX events globally.
This year the 2008 MAX Awards have added support for nominations. If you know of a great service, site, application, or experience that deserves a 2008 MAX Award: NOMINATE IT!

Hello! This is Greg Wilson - one of the technical evangelist at Adobe focused on Enterprise applications and development.
MAX is gearing up to be a great event this year with hundreds of great sessions on everything Adobe. As you would expect, there are a lot of sessions on media design, creative products, video, etc., but did you know that there are many sessions specifically for enterprise business application developers? Adobe has many products, including LiveCycle ES, LiveCycle Data Services, AIR, and Flex, that are very relevant to the enterprise and becoming more relevant every day.
I thought I would take a few minutes and highlight some of the sessions specifically targeted for Enterprise developers:
Steven Webster (technical director of Adobe Consulting), and his team have put together some great sessions that will be presented by members of Adobe consulting from North America and Europe:
The Flex development team has been very busy lately and last night they posted a ton of code and documentation on the next version of the Flex framework codenamed "Gumbo". "Gumbo" is the framework that will enable much richer application UI and break free of the more rigid look and feel of todays Flex applications. It is also the framework that will be powering applications made with "Thermo".
Both "Thermo" and "Gumbo" will be in full force at Adobe MAX. If you want to see the next generation of RIA frameworks I would do this:
Tonight at midnight we launched the official MAX NA Experience website. We have been working around the clock to gather all the information for MAX NA and wrap it in an great online experience. Make sure to take a look at the interactive landscapes provided by some of the leading digital design agencies on the planet. It is a great site, provides just the right balance of information and experience and captures the exploratory tone of the Adobe MAX event.
Adobe MAX 2008 is going to be highlighting a new RIA product codenamed "Thermo". Working with the product development team directly I was able to get some exclusive screenshots of "Thermo". Make sure to take a look at the higher resolution images (linked). We will see a ton of "Thermo" at Adobe MAX 2008, see you there!
