What is MAX 2009?

Adobe MAX 2009 is the annual global Adobe conference for forward-thinking designers, developers, and decision-makers. Attend MAX to gain a competitive edge through intensive skills development and unique networking opportunities. MAX 2009 will be held Sunday through Wednesday, October 4–7, 2009.

MAX 2009 is expected to host about 5,000 attendees.

Is there an age requirement for MAX 2009?

You must be a minimum of 18 years of age to attend MAX 2009. However, Los Angeles offers numerous activities that may be appealing to families. If child care is needed, contact your hotel directly to make arrangements.

What are the registration costs for MAX? Are meals included?

Depending on the type of registration and the dates you complete your registration, there are different costs. Refer to the registration fees for this information, as well as information on provided meals.

What types of payment do you accept for the MAX registration fees?

All registration fees for MAX 2009 are in U.S. dollars. Two forms of payment are accepted: credit cards (American Express, MasterCard, and Visa) and purchase order/checks. If you wish to pay by wire transfer, send an e-mail to the MAX Registration Center at questions@max.adobe.com.

What is the MAX Scheduler?

The MAX Scheduler is an online tool for creating your own personalized schedule of sessions, labs, and BYOL (bring your own laptop) labs at MAX.

How do I access the MAX Scheduler to create my personal schedule?

Schedule your sessions and labs using the MAX Scheduler. Both sessions and labs fill quickly, so schedule as soon as possible.

Note: Even with pre-enrollment using the MAX Scheduler, you must arrive before a session or lab begins to secure your seat. Space in sessions and labs will be limited, and empty seats will be given away three minutes prior to the session starting time. Your enrollment in a session will be validated on-site when you pass through the doors to the session with your name badge. Anyone who is not pre-enrolled may be asked to wait in a standby line.

How do I access my MAX registration account if I have forgotten my password?

If you have forgotten your password, complete the 'Forgot Your Password?" form on the login page. You will then receive an e-mail that allows you to reset your password.

What is the tax ID number? How do I get a W-9 form?

The tax ID number for MAX is 77-0019522. To request a W-9 form, send an email to questions@max.adobe.com.

Are there any discounts for groups?

For information on standard group discounts and policies, visit registration fees and registration policies.

For information on discounts for groups of 20 or more, send an e-mail to questions@max.adobe.com.

How do I have my name removed from the mailing list?

To request the removal of your name from future Adobe communications (by e-mail or mail), send an e-mail to questions@max.adobe.com specifying your name, company name, and mailing or e-mail address.

Where do I pick up my conference pass?

You may pick up your MAX pass and conference materials beginning at 7am on Sunday, October 4, at the West Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center. Upon registration, you will be required to show a government-issued photo ID such as a driver's license or passport. MAX passes will not be mailed.

What are the on-site registration hours at MAX?

On-site registration hours at the Los Angeles Convention Center are as follows: Sunday, October 4, 7am–7pm; Monday, October 5, 7am–7pm; Tuesday, October 6, 7am–7pm; and Wednesday, October 7, 8am–6pm.

How can I change or update my address or other personal contact data in my MAX registration account?

To update your MAX account, including your personal contact information, your hotel reservations (if applicable) and your MAX schedule selections, log in using your e-mail address and the password you created during registration.

How can I get a formal invitation letter for my visa application?

Once you have registered and paid your registration fees in full, you may request a letter from the MAX 2009 Registration Center by contacting us at questions@max.adobe.com. If you do not receive a visa in time to travel to the United States for MAX 2009, your registration fees will be fully refunded.

Do you offer any government or education rates for MAX 2009 registration fees?

A special discount is available to employees of federal, state, or local government entities, public and private educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations. See registration fees for more information.

How do I make a hotel reservation?

Hotel reservations can be made during the MAX registration process. You must be registered for MAX 2009 in order to take advantage of the discounted hotel rates within the conference hotel blocks. Refer to the Hotels section for more information.

How long does it take to get to/from the airport, and how much does it cost?

Five major airports serve Los Angeles: Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Ontario International Airport (ONT), Bob Hope Burbank Airport (BUR), John Wayne Orange County Airport (SNA), and Long Beach Airport (LGB). Are there any special discounts for airfare to MAX 2009?

Is there a metro/train that is available in Los Angeles for use during MAX 2009?

Los Angeles offers 200 Metro Bus lines and five Metro Rail lines, Metro can take you just about anywhere in LA County. The Metro Rail is comprised of the Metro Blue, Green, Red, Purple and Gold lines. Hours of operation are generally from 4 AM to midnight, with less frequent service during the evening hours. Metro Passes are good on all Metro bus lines as well as on Metro Rail.
