Bring your own laptop and join 100 or so of your friends for these exciting and informative labs in which you actually use the applications you're learning — and then keep the files and software to continue practicing after the conference. Standard "bring your own laptop" labs run either 90 minutes or 3 hours and consist of presentations, demonstrations, examples, and hands-on class exercises. (Full-day BYOL labs are available during the preconference segment.)

Attendees are required to download demo assets to their laptops before arriving at MAX and then pick up the necessary software at the BYOL lab download stations in front of rooms 408 and 508 upon their arrival to MAX. Attendees can locate the demo assets in their registration profile page which can be accessed by logging in and clicking on the "BYOL Assets" tab. Here you will find the system requirements, demo files and any additional instructions you need to attend your BYOL lab. Be sure to check in early on-site at MAX so you can be prepared with the appropriate installations and configuration.

If you have any questions about participating in the BYOL labs, e-mail us at speakers@max.adobe.com.

Since BYOL lab attendees use their own laptops, there are a few requirements to ensure the best experience:

  • We will supply all required software and demo assets the week of September 28. It is important that you install these items on your laptop prior to arrival.
  • Prior to your lab, you must install the required software which can be picked up from the BYOL lab download stations in front of rooms 408 and 508
  • Your laptop should meet the minimum system requirements for your lab. System requirements can be located in your registration profile page under the "BYOL Assets" tab.
  • You will need wireless capability to access the Internet through the Los Angeles Convention Center network.
  • You will need your power cord.
  • Please arrive at the classroom at least 30 minutes early so that a MAX teaching assistant can check your laptop installations and configuration to ensure that applications are functional and installed correctly.
